Apprenticeships allow you to develop skills and knowledge in a chosen sector or industry. Apprenticeships are available in a wide range of sector areas including Accountancy, Business Administration, ICT, Construction, Retail and many more.
There are two types of apprenticeships:
Apprenticeship (equivalent to five A* - C passes at GCSE)
Advanced Apprenticeship (equivalent to two A Level Passes).

Age: 16-19
Candidates must have the ability to achieve an NVQ Level 2 and the associated Key Skills for their employment sector. The employer will set the entry requirements for the employment opportunity depending on the skills and qualifications required by the company. Some Apprenticeship Frameworks also require completion of a Technical Certificate.
Recruitment takes place via the Training Provider or the employer by means of a selection process. Candidates will be required to attend an interview along with other applicants. An Apprentice will generally be employed by the company and receive a wage for the job. Rates will vary but should reflect the standards within the chosen industry. Rates paid will not be less than £95.00 per week.
