Apprenticeships allow you to develop skills and knowledge in a chosen sector or industry. Apprenticeships are available in a wide range of sector areas including Accountancy, Business Administration, ICT, Construction, Retail and many more.
There are two types of apprenticeships:
Apprenticeship (equivalent to five A* - C passes at GCSE)
Advanced Apprenticeship (equivalent to two A Level Passes).

Timetable: The majority of the training will take place in the employers premises. Some attendance at the training centre as necessary.

Age: 16-19
You must have the ability to achieve an NVQ Level 2 and the associated Key Skills for your employment sector. The Employer/Learning Provider will set the entry requirements for the employment opportunity depending on the skills and qualifications required by the company. Some Apprenticeships frameworks also require the completion of a Technical Certificate.
Recruitment takes place via the Training Provider or the employer by means of a selection process. You will be required to attend an interview along with other applicants. An Apprentice will generally be employed by the company and receive a wage for the job. Rates will vary but should reflect the standards within the chosen industry. Rates paid will not be less than £95.00 per week.
